Eligibility Criteria

Nationality           : The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
Age limit              : The minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum not more than 30 years as on 01-01-2015. Age relaxation is applicable as given below.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor/Master’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/ Institution & An Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

If any University awards grades instead of marks, applicants should clearly mention the numerical equivalent of the grades in terms of aggregate marks.

Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the on-line test followed by a personal interview of short listed candidates and subsequent Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination.

On-line Test:

On-line test will be of objective type, multiple choice of 120 minutes (2 hrs) duration comprising of the following:

Candidate MUST pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the interview.

The minimum marks to be obtained in each Section and in the aggregate shall be decided by LIC of India.

English Language test is of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language will not be counted for ranking.

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi -percentile method.

Penalty for Wrong Answers

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

Interview
  1. Commensurate to the number of vacancies, the Corporation reserves the right to fix the minimum eligibility standards in order to restrict the candidates to be called for interview and also fix the minimum qualifying marks to qualify in the interview.
  2. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to be filled in subject to availability of successful candidates in the online test and will be purely as per their ranking in their respective category.
  3. In case of similar marks of two or more candidates, the merit order of such group of candidates shall be as per the aggregate marks in online test and interview and further as per their additional qualification (i.e. the person with higher educational qualification will be placed higher in the merit order) and in case of further similarity in educational qualification merit order will be decided on the basis of age, (i.e. senior in age will be placed higher in merit order).
Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination:

Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered appointment.

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure

IBPS RRB selection process will be carried out in two stages, the first one is Common Written Examination and second stage is Common Interviews conducted by IBPS.

Common Written Examination
Common Written Examination will be conducted online which consists of objective type questions.

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure – Officer Scale I

For the posts of Officers Scale I, the exam will be conducted in two tiers in September 2017 i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and main. Candidates who will apply for the post of Officers Scale I will have to qualify in prelims exam and will be shortlisted to appear for IBPS RRB Mains exam. The final shortlisted candidates in the IBPS RRB Mains exam will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.

IBPS RRB Preliminary Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 80 marks with the duration of 45 minutes and it will be conducted online.

PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE- RRBs-IV will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted with the help of the designated Nodal Regional Rural Bank in each State/UT and coordinated by IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in. Please note that any request regarding change in date, centre etc. of interview will not be entertained. However the conducting agencies reserve the right to change the date/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview or hold supplementary process for particular date / session / venue / centre / set of candidates at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any.

The proficiency in local language will be tested at the time of interview.

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks / scores in interview and within it for local language proficiency will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates). The minimum qualifying marks in interview for Officer Scale II and III will also be not less than 40% for all the candidates except 35% for SC / ST candidates. The relative weightage (ratio) of CWE and interview will be 70:30 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Examination of CWE for RRBs-IV and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed. A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process.

Allotment

On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2015-16 based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/ Others from time to time, administrative exigency, etc.

In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice.
