Indian Army Agneepath Recruitment 2022: Agneepath Scheme is now getting real as all the three branches of Indian Armed Forces that is, Indian Army, Indian Airforce and Indian Navy are now all set to go on for recruitment process and for that final recruitment notification is being released. Agneepath Scheme Recruitment Draft Notification by the Indian Army has been released today on 20th June 2022 for induction of candidates into the Indian Army. Around 83 recruitment rallies across the country are expected to be carried out. Men and women between the ages of 17.5 and 23 years will be recruited for the armed forces under this scheme.

Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Notification 2022 PDF
Agneepath is a central government scheme in which a candidate can serve the country by joining any of the three armed forces, Indian Army, Indian Navy or Indian Air Force for the period of four years. In this regard, Army has released it’s official recruitment notification in which they have clearly mentioned every detail about it.
It said that ‘Agniveers’ would form a distinct rank in the Indian Army, which would be different from any other existing ranks. It also mentioned that ‘Agniveers’ will be barred from disclosing classified information gained during the four-year service period to any unauthorised person or source under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
Adding to this it mentioned, “With the introduction of this scheme, the enrolment of soldiers in the regular cadre of the Indian Army, except technical cadres of medical branch, will be available only to those personnel who have completed their engagement period as Agniveer,”.

Agniveer Salary Benefits
- Candidate will be covered under Rs. 48 Lakh non-contributory Life Insurance Cover during service.
- Rs. 11.71 Lakh as Seva Nidhi package after exit from service (no income tax deducted).
- 25% of Agniveers will be enrolled in regular cadre of service.

Agniveer Seva Nidhi
Following the release after 4 years period from service in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Air Force, the Seva Nidhi package costs approximately Rs 11.71 lakh, including (Including, interest accumulated on the above amount as per the applicable interest rates would also be paid). Every month 30% of monthly emoluments will be contributed by individuals and an equal amount will be contributed by the Government. Two options to receive the Seva Nidhi package will be provided to each Agniveer, with an aim to provide financial loans for self-employment/entrepreneurship through a bank Guarantee as also to meet immediate/incidental expenses, on exit. Details will be issued separately by the Government of India.
Agniveer Life Insurance Cover
The Agniveer soldiers will get a free insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh for the duration of their service period as per Agneepath Scheme introduced by the government.
Agniveer Death/Disability Compensation
Non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakhs with additional Ex. Gratia of Rs. 44 lakh for death attributable to service. The unreserved portion up to 4 years including SevaNidhi Component. The extent of disability or functional incapacity shall be determined in the following manner for the purpose of computing the disability compensation:-
