SSC Hindi Translator – Selection Process

The Examination will consists of two parts viz.,

Part-I: Written Examination carrying 400 marks; and

PART-II: Personality Test (Interview) carrying 100 Marks.

Part I- Written Examination:

The Written Examination will consist of two papers. Paper I is objective Type and Paper II is Conventional Type. Each paper will carry 200 Marks. Time duration for each paper will be 2 hours.: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.

Part II- Personality Test/ Interview:

Only those who secure the minimum qualifying marks in paper-I or part thereof and paper-II of the written examination will be shortlisted for the Interview. Personality test will be conducted for 100 Marks. Candidates will be recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of their aggregate marks in the Written Examination and Interview.

Note-I: Paper-II of only such candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Paper-I will be evaluated.

Note-II: The Commission will fix separate qualified standards in Paper-II of the written examination.

Resolution of the Cases:

In cases where more than one candidate secure the equal aggregate marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:-

(1) Total marks in the written examination.

(2) Marks in Paper-I.

(3) Marks in Paper-II.

(4) Date of birth with older candidates placed higher.

(5) Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates appears.
